![]() Selected Works: Another Day, Another DollarShown here is the plaster version of Another Day, Another Dollar. Sculpted in North Carolina in 2002, it depicts a devil with cloven hooves, preparing for another day's work by shoeing himself. He sits on his forge, flames licking at his flanks. I sculpted this back in the good days when I was struggling to become a sculptor while having to work a day job. I found the act of willingly driving a nail into one's own foot an interesting metaphor for the hardships we all endure to get what we need. I've cast this work in plaster, iron, and bronze, and in two sizes: one about 30 inches tall, or two/thirds lifesize, and one about 12 inches tall.
